Coach Leo started his football career at Sacred Heart Prep (SHP) in Atherton, CA. where he was recognized as an All-State Offensive Lineman and was also the first ever SHP student-athlete to attend college on a full athletic scholarship to play football.

He continued his football career at the University of Hawai’i where he was voted Captain and helped lead his team to a victory in the 2016 Hawai’i Bowl.

Following college, he continued on to the NFL where he signed with the Detroit Lions as an Undrafted Free Agent and continued his career there for three seasons. Following his time in Detroit, he signed with the NY Jets. Following his first year in New York, he opted out of the 2020 COVID-season to be with his family as they welcomed his newborn son.

He and his wife, Athena, are parents of two (daughter and son). Coach Leo and his brother Coach Meffy co-founded KO Bros with the hopes of providing guidance to families who are currently undergoing the youth sports and college recruiting process.
